Yin yoga is an increasingly popular form of yoga. The pace is super slow, mindful and meditative, and your body gets very deep stretches as you stay in the poses for 3-5 minutes, mostly down on the floor. Yin is an ideal style of yoga if you are feeling fatigued as it feels slow, nourishing and gentle. It is also very suitable and beneficial for active people as Yin yoga balances areas of the body that may be contracted or overused. 

This 90 minute workshop you can expect to be introduced to some of the philosophy, history, and intent behind Yin yoga and have an experience of being guided to explore some accessible poses.

This workshop will be held in the sanctuary of the Surya Health studio in Banksia Grove. For Covid-19 safety we are not currently providing mats or props. Please bring your own yoga mat, (or if you don't have a mat, bring a non-slip towel to place over a studio mat), a large cushion and blanket. Yes, it does sound a bit like a sleep over - you will have the opportunity to rest deeply.
